What is Leaders on the Horizon?
LEADERS ON THE HORIZON is a process for youth workers to use to disciple, equip & deploy students to be leaders and servants. It is an opportunity to help young people to be people of impact for the kingdom of God.
LOH is lead by several youth ministry veterans who have been pastors and youth pastors. Their dream is to see this generation of young people raised up and to be strong leaders and live missionally, equipped to do ministry on campus, in their homes, in the workplace and in the local church. Leaders on the Horizon is a ministry of the Reformed Church in America.
LOH has helped us to build bridges between schools, youth, and adult leaders by providing a safe and consistent place for youth to discover their God given gifts.

Imagine...
your ministry growing because you have small group leaders who know how to lead, care for people and are committed to partnering with you in making a difference.
..students leading students to God.
..having a presence on the public high school campuses in your area.
..students who are on fire for Jesus and are being challenged daily to live for him.
..your students with mentors and leaders who are pouring into their lives.
..kids from your ministry making an impact all over the world.
These things have happened with churches who've used LOH!
What does the program include?

THE LOH PROGRAM INCLUDES...

Here are the keys to succes with LOH....
Mentor, Apprentice & Participate
Mentor: Participants are encouraged to have a member outside of the youth ministry. They can meet together monthly for prayer & support, wisdom & guidance and to talk through what they are experiencing in LOH.
Apprentice: The youth worker has an apprentice-another adult who can go through the program and learn how to lead another group the following year.
Participate: The student leaders are urged to participate in campus Bible clubs, community service, serving in your youth ministry and mission trips. We provide resources of reputable student missions organizations to assist the youth pastor & student in the process.

Why Should I Use LOH?
Because it works! Kids all over the country are part of the process and using the skills they learn to serve the people around them, both in and out of the church.
LOH offers training for your students on how to lead small groups, how to listen well, how to deal with conflicts as well as lessons and retreats on spiritual disciplines, identity in Christ and your purpose in life. Students who are a part of LOH grow in their relationship with the lord, with other students and are incredible student leaders in their youth ministries... enabling you to broaden your sphere of influence and grow your ministry!
